Last season saw our love affair with metal toe caps, this time we have gone all the way. From metallic sandals, strappy heels to even oxfords are being spotted in the metallic finish.  A pair of these can rock even your most laid-back of outfits.

#4 Clutch / Bag

GoldBlueRose Gold

In this category, not only the regular metal finish but the holographic finish is very popular. That gives you even more options to play with. We recommend a dull copper, bronze, rose gold for the day and gold, silver or holographic for the night. Exception being, if you wear a white outfit and pair a light colored holographic bag, it will work in the day.

#5 Jewelry

ChokerEarcuffCuff

Your metal jewelry options are not limited to gold cuffs anymore. Thing ear cuffs (very of-the-moment) or multiple minimal rings or cut work cuffs and chokers too.

#6 Hair accessories

Gold leaves • Spikes • Gold hair tie

Styling hair with metal accents took center stage on the runways for this season. And not just the metal hair tie, there bands worn in unique creative ways or extra thin barrettes too. The fast fashion stores in turn got even more creative and doled out connected and intricate hair combs too, surely one of our favorites.

#7 Skirts

Blue • Metallic stripe • Gold maxi

Yes, we are talking of lustrous skirts. They are catching up in all silhouettes, maxi, skater or pencil. Take your pick as the colors are not limited to gold and silver. We have also included one with a slight hint of metal, just for those who don’t want to sport a full-on metal skirt.

#8 Dress

Silver short • Bronze peplum • Rose gold

How about adding some celebrity worthy glam quotient to your wardrobe? A metallic dress is the answer. With the award season just gone by, it was a rage on the red carpet. But we have picked some dresses that would work in real life – on day dates or evening parties.

#9 Sunglasses

Silver • Black gold • Tortoise metal

Metal has infiltrated the sunglasses segment too. Roberto Cavalli went all gold, but the most wearable outcome of metal love is reflective lense surfaces. They really have become a chic must-have. Other options include sunglasses with metal accented rims.

#10 Eye shadow

4 color • Blue

Metallic eyes are your best bet for a night-out. You could go for a bold silver or subtle bronze. To work the look for the day with blue and silver, music artist Carly just shows us how.

#11 Top

Silver full sleeves • Copper Peplum • Black with gold foil

Moving on to the next way of wearing metal is a top or blouse. Even metallic brocades will fall under this category as well as the less intimidating foil print designs.

#12 Shorts

Dark grey • Beige with black band • Silver

Denim cut-offs are so last season, it is about sophisticated shorts this time around. And what better way to dress up this staple than to inject metal finishes to it. Team up with blazers or peplum, the look will turn out chic.

#13 Pants

Copper • Yellow

Cocktail pants are fast becoming a phenomenon of their own. The dressier side of pants or dressier side of denim, look great with metallic touches. We recommend metallic brocades or even metallic weave pants in darker colors for workplace.

That brings us to the end of our list. So don some metal, take your pick. If you need advice on how to style this trend then Ask a stylist Or download the Wink n Pout App, to have your personal stylist in your pocket 24X7.
